We now offer four great new power amplifiers for you.  Both are all solid state, all have twelve active regulated power supplies, including active regulated power supplies for the output circuits.

These provide nearly the same amazing dynamics, transparency, and sense of "you are there" live presentations that have made our new Fet Valve hybrid amps so successful.  Better yet, there is no hint of "solid state" sound, just music.

Upgrades are available for any older AVA 440,  260, 240, or Control Amplifier series solid state amplifier.

A window into the recording studio, front row seats at the concert!

The Insight preamplifier circuits give you all the music and nothing but the music. Our earlier Omega series solid-state preamplifiers were wonderful, but we knew we could do better. When faster components with even more current drive became available, it was back to the drawing board for us. In rethinking the entire design, we were able to make huge improvements in the linearity, current drive and speed of the circuit. Note that these improvements are available for your older AVA solid-state preamps.

This means that you get even more of the music than ever before. The Insight preamp has even more of the transparency, dynamic range, linearity and pure music for which Audio by Van Alstine has become known. Listen to all of your recordings again and find all of the space, all of the sounds of the instruments that you'd overlooked before.

Because we use a combination of hybrid chips to achieve our musical goals, the cost is much less than you would expect. Of course we use metal-film resistors, selected film capacitors, precision controls, gold jacks, and high-reliability active devices. Parts alone don't make the product. It is the use of the parts that determines overall quality. We don't get silly about expensive frills that do nothing to improve the musicality or usefulness of the product. Great audio design doesn't have to be expensive, only great.
