 Fet Three Plus Pat-4 $245 SOLD

This is a full function preamplifier built by Frank Van Alstine in 1983 and is still in excellent working order.  I looks good too.  The electrical design used high quality linear op amps with high speed current amplifiers inside the feedback loops to provide outstanding output current drive into difficult loads and long cables.  I uses a Dyna Pat-4 chassis, but all internal circuits are Audio by Van Alstine designs.  It has a nice phono section, working tone controls, and precision volume and balance controls.  The front panel 1/4" phone jacks are not connected.  It is surprisingly musical and functional.  A great second system preamp or perfect for a starter system.

Super Pas Three vacuum tube preamplifier $799 SOLD

This unit was personally built by Frank Van Alstine in 1999 and is still in outstanding condition.  It has our custom gold plated input and output jack set too.

 We started with a very clean Dyna Pas-3X chassis and stripped it and installed our Super Pas Three circuit set, including new phono board, new line board, new multi section power supply board, new precision volume and balance controls and completely rewired the unit, including rewiring the selector switch to provide more line level inputs then the stock unit had.  The end result is a throughly modern high fidelity tube preamp complete with phono section, five sets of line level inputs, tape in and tape out jacks, and audio out jacks.

This unit check out perfect here now after we installed a complete selected and matched tube set (4 JAN 12AX7WA Phillips signal tubes and 1 12x4 rectifier tube).  It comes with the AVA 30 day satisfaction guarantee and one year parts and labor warranty (no warranty on vacuum tubes).

Call us first before buying our used equipment on the web or from other sources! If you are contemplating the purchase of used AVA equipment from another source, we will examine, bench check, clean controls, jacks, and switches, and verify the performance of the unit for $50 ($100 for large power amplifiers) plus the cost of shipping. This inspection can be made before or after the sale, although it is obvious that you will have maximum protection if you have the unit examined before any money changes hands. We take pride in our work. One thing we don't want is AVA equipment not meeting our standards being offered as the real thing. We build very high quality and very reliable gear, and we don't want misrepresentative and abused items undermining our reputation.
